Yes. AllSmackTalk is ad supported completely free for registered users.

Will my registration information be sold?

Will I get Spam after signing up for AllSmackTalk.com?

No. AllSmackTalk will not sell your email address to outside companies. AllSmackTalk will send you relevant emails concerning your account as well as announcements concerning updates to the site and new features and emails regarding account activity such as new wall posts, FaceOff challenges etc.

What is a FaceOff?

A FaceOff is public forum for you to debate other users about any sports topic you wish for about 24 hours. Other AllSmackTalk users will be able to vote on who won the debate, giving you ultimate bragging rights. To learn more about the FaceOff feature click here FaceOff FAQ.

How do I see other teams boards?

To view other team boards please use the main menu at the left of every page and select Smack Boards>Teams > Conference > and then the exact team board you wish to visit. You can also click View All Posts to view every post across all team boards.

How do I switch sports?

Please use the navigation at the top of the page to switch between sports to view posts in each sport.

How do I start a new Post?

To create a new post, simply go to the main menu and select Smack Boards>New Post. Be sure to have the proper sport selected in the Sports Nav Bar so your post goes into the proper sport section.

How do I start a new topic in another teams board?

You can’t. To help keep each new post relevant to the team board, only members aligned with the team are able create new posts in their respective team’s board. However, all users can Smack Back in any section of the site.

How do I switch my team?

Users are not allowed to switch teams. However, you can list other favorite teams in your AllSmackTalk.com profile section.

What does it mean when I add someone as a Team Mate/Rival?

Adding other users as Team Mates/Rivals allows you to track their posts, Smack Backs and other actions on the site in the news feed.

What is the Season Ticket page for?

The Season Ticket page is the portion of AllSmackTalk.com that is completely customizable to the user. From the preferences section you can determine exactly what tags and teams you would like to read most about, as well as add RSS feeds to the page to build a fully custom experience with all the news and posts on your favorite sports and teams.

What is a tag?

A tag is a brief description word that relates to your post. For example, if you were doing a post about Player X, you would want to include the team the player belongs to as one of the tags. Tags should be included in every post as they are a great way to sort and search posts.

What is a Spotlight?

A Spotlight is like a thumbs up towards a post. If you see a post you like, be sure to spotlight it. The more spotlights a post has, the more places it will appear on the site, and it could even make the front page. Spotlighted items will also be featured weekly in the Spotlight section of the site detailing the most Spotlighted people, teams and more! The more spotlights your post has, the more of a chance it has at winning a award at the end of the year!

What are awards?

There are 2 types of awards at AllSmackTalk.com

Team Awards: These are given out to users aligned with a team when the team wins an award. For example, if Team X wins the National Championship, then all members aligned with Team X will get a National Championship Trophy on their profile. This is a great way to show off how successful your team is, and will visible on everyone of your posts.

Site Awards: These awards are given out to users by the AllSmackTalk.com team and its users at the end of year reflecting outstanding posts in key categories that will be announced at a later date. Prizes will accompany these awards if possible.
